A Slovenian cross country skier died in Norway

The young Slovenian cross-country skier Hana Jamnik died tragically in Norway, the Ski Federation of Slovenia announced. The young 19-year-old skier lost her life while preparing for the new season.

Although the Norwegian police do not disclose details of the accident, the media from this Scandinavian country report that Jamnik died as a result of a tragic incident, that is, she was run over by a truck.

Namely, Jamnik came early in the morning, at 8:41 a.m. she ran off the track while training and was hit by a truck on highway 523. The Slovenian skier was transported by helicopter to the clinical center in Stavanger, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The truck driver is accused of violating traffic rules, but he does not admit guilt and claims that it was a tragic accident.
