Skopje on the 192th place in the world on the list of "Mercer" according to the cost of living
The Macedonian capital Skopje is ranked 192nd on the list of the American consulting company "Mercer" of the most expensive cities to live in the world, in competition with a total of 209 cities.
According to the list from 2020, Skopje was on 202nd place, which is a jump on the list of 10 places.
The most expensive city to live in the world, according to this year's Mercer cost of living survey, is Turkmenistan's capital, Ashgabat, followed by Hong Kong, Beirut, Tokyo and Zurich.
Mercer's annual report ranks 209 cities around the world based on a comparison of the cost of living, which includes the cost of housing, transportation, food and entertainment, using New York as a comparative basis.
As for the cheapest cities, at the "bottom" of the "Mercer" list are Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia (207th place), Lusaka, Zambia (208) and the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek (209)
