In the period when all the world's capitals shine with pre-New Year's decorations, when citizens are already planning which festive program in the squares is the most attractive to them and where to spend the most cheerful night, Skopje continues to live in gray and without any information if any entertainment is planned during the festive days.

There is usually no announcement from the City of Skopje when and if the city will be decorated, whether there will be a New Year's celebration in the square, and most other Skopje municipalities are silent and do not reveal their plans publicly.

The only municipality that started decorating on time, as it regularly does in the past years, is Centar, where this activity is already nearing its end. Several locations are decorated with Christmas trees and light decorations, such as Jadran Square, Boemska and Orce Nikolov streets, Kapistec Square and Kapistec Park.

In addition, wooden houses and decorations will be set up to complement the winter fairy tale. A New Year's bazaar will be organized on "Jadran" square, which will be held a few days before New Year's Eve, with numerous events and parties. Macedonian musicians are currently being arranged, who will entertain the citizens before the New Year. The goal of this engagement is to encourage joint celebration, joy and optimism on the eve of the New Year - said Mayor Goran Gerasimovski announcing the beginning of the decoration.

For the New Year's decoration of the Center, the Municipality, after the conducted tender, concluded a contract with the Company for production, trade and services "Link Media Plus" from Skopje, worth almost 3,7 million denars, that is, about 60 thousand euros.

The same company will also decorate the Airport, for which the Municipality will spend about 3,5 million denars or about 57 thousand euros. But from there they did not answer where it will be decorated and whether any events are planned for its residents on the eve of the holidays.

And the residents of the Gjorce Petrov municipality will enjoy the New Year's atmosphere.

Decorating for the New Year holidays will end no later than December 18. The main location for decoration will be the central park, which has the highest frequency of children and citizens. In terms of musical events, a party for the youngest is planned on December 21 and 22, right in the central park of the Gjorce Petrov municipality - the Municipality says.

Who will carry out the decoration in Gjorce Petrov and how much it will cost will be known after the end of the public announcement, on December 12, but according to the announcement, a Christmas tree at least 10 meters high should be placed in the park, the candelabras will be lit with LED lights. a 200-meter-long "starry" sky will be installed, and the Clock Tower will also light up.

Public announcements for New Year's decorations are ongoing in Gazi Baba, Butel and Chair, in Gazi Baba it will end on December 12, and in the other two municipalities a day earlier.

According to the announcement published on the Electronic System for Public Procurement, Gazi Baba Municipality will decorate several locations, namely the square in Autokomanda, the parks in Cento and Stajkovci, as well as the complex near the primary school "Vera Jocic" in the Hippodrome. In all these locations, it is planned to place one Christmas tree of at least nine meters, to decorate the trees with light nets, to place New Year's light 3D figures.

Where it will be decorated in the municipality of Butel is unknown for the time being, they do not share this information, but according to their announcement, a Christmas tree at least 10 meters high, light nets, LED lights on the trees, light figures, starry sky should be placed, and it will be decorated and the municipal building and more.

In Chair municipality, the New Year's decoration should be carried out in the period from December 13 to 16 on Skanderbeg Square, in the Old Skopje Bazaar on the stretch from Skanderbeg to Murat Pasha Mosque, and the municipal building will also shine. A tall Christmas tree, light nets on the bridge, light sky, candelabra with light bulbs, as well as several light figures in 3D form will be placed on the square. There will be a starry sky over the main street in the bazaar, as well as on other festive decorations.

So far, the Electronic System for Public Procurement has not published any public announcements for New Year's decorations from the municipalities of Saraj, Shuto Orizari and Kisela Voda, nor any response from them whether they plan to provide their residents with a New Year's atmosphere.

The mayor of Kisela Voda, Orce Gjorgjievski, sent a questionnaire to the citizens of the municipality on whether they think that the municipality of Kisela Voda should organize its own New Year's celebration to welcome the year 2025, at which famous Macedonian artists will perform. The majority of the citizens declared "for", and in the comments on his post, residents suggested that it would be nice to decorate the municipality.

What is definitely certain is that this year it will not be decorated in Karposh, because no one called the two announced tenders.

The municipality of Karposh will not decorate for the New Year holidays. In the program for this year, it was planned to decorate the Delfina Square in Vlae and the small square in front of the "Goce Delchev" student dormitory, for which a tender was announced twice, but not a single interested company responded to both tenders - Karposh explained.

The people of Karposhan have to decorate their homes and shops to feel the festive atmosphere or take a walk in the neighboring municipality of Centar, where it will be decorated in several locations.
