Scandal in the US: Dallas member arrested for assault with a gun

Darrell Armstrong, A member of the Dallas Mavericks coaching staff has been arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Texas police have confirmed.

The event was also announced by Dallas.

"Dallas is aware of an incident involving a member of our coaching staff. We are gathering all information regarding the incident. We are taking it seriously, the employee is administratively suspended, and a new decision will be made following the verdict. While the process is ongoing, we will not be making any further comment," Dallas said in a statement.

Armstrong was reportedly arrested on suspicion of striking the victim with a gun and threatening to shoot her. The victim was reportedly a 56-year-old woman who reported the incident to police.

Armstrong was also a basketball player for Dallas, playing for this team from 2004 to 2006, while he spent a total of 14 seasons in the NBA.
