Under the motto "All for MCC" and with the performance of about ten young performers, a protest was held today in front of the plateau of the Youth Cultural Center, where the dissatisfaction with the recent developments with the change of the director and the reduction of the budget was expressed. The organizers "Gola planina collective" said that this is a gathering for all enthusiasts and lovers of independent culture, to jointly express their dissatisfaction.

In front of the MCC plateau, a petition "To save the MCC" was also signed.

The protest was organized as a reaction to the installation of a new acting director, Nikola Alexov, graduate detective. Alexov was appointed director because the former acting director Vancho Bogoev did not succumb to the pressures of the general secretary to sign employment for Arben Shaqiri.

Since the former director of MCC has not signed that decision, starting tomorrow MCC has a new acting director. director, Nikola Alexov, a graduate detective, who was hired two days ago through the Agency for Temporary Employment in MCC without any experience and background in a cultural institution. Despite the recognition that came as the crown of our work with the "November 13" award for merits in the field of culture and mass attendance, perhaps the largest in the history of the institution on the occasion of the 50th anniversary, the year began with bad news for the future of MCC. The first is that our budget has been reduced to only 8% of the annual budget with which we worked in the past years, and immediately after that, the latest developments in the way of installing a director in MCC - say the Program Collegium.

Just twenty days ago, the Youth Cultural Center in Skopje proudly celebrated 50 years since its foundation. Several thousand visitors to the all-day anniversary program of the MCC team told them to continue working with the same pace and dynamics for the next 50 years.
