All the main ones in the Government are against Loga's ideas: It is not time to change the "20 percent" in the Constitution

The Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski, Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Maricic and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani today they reacted to yesterday's statements of the Minister of Justice Krenar Loga, who presented an idea at the moment when the debate on the constitutional amendments begins, to open the issue of the wording "20 percent" in the Constitution and its replacement with the "Albanian language".
According to Prime Minister Kovacevski, the priority at the moment is only the inclusion of all communities living in Macedonia, including the Bulgarians.
Loga said yesterday that in addition to the inclusion of Bulgarians in the Constitution, it might be time to open other issues, such as the question of replacing the wording "language spoken by 20 percent of the population" with the wording "Albanian language"
The Deputy Prime Minister Bojan Maricic says now is "not the time for that."
"Personally, I think, and I think that this is also the position of the Government, although we have not discussed, that it is logical to focus on those obligations that arise from the negotiation framework. Thus, we have the best chance of success and the best chance to succeed in completing the constitutional amendments within a reasonable period of time this year. Every additional question is worth considering, but I don't believe that now is the right time for it, because it will take more time and more energy, and it will complicate the process - says Maricic, leaving room for all questions to be discussed after the end of this cycle of constitutional amendments", says Maricic.
The head of diplomacy Osmani is of the same opinion. He said that he did not know what the purpose of Minister Loga's statement was, but he emphasized that the current process for constitutional amendments should not be burdened with other political issues, which, according to him, can polarize society even more.
At a meeting with journalists, and the speaker of the assembly Talat Xhaferi he spoke about Loga's idea, about other constitutional amendments, and said that according to him there is no problem, "as long as it is achieved and done with the consent of all political parties".
