The government announced that at today's session, at the proposal of the Ministry of Economy, it made a decision to freeze trade margins for dairy products: cottage cheese, cow's white cheese and mixed white cheese, cheese, sour milk and cream and yogurt, with the sale of which traders and wholesale and retail will not be allowed to earn more than ten percent of the purchase price.

"During the regular control of the State Market Inspectorate in retail and wholesale trade, according to the Information from the Ministry of Economy, the need for intervention in the listed goods was indicated, due to the increase in their prices. As is known, from June 14, 2022, a freeze has been established on the margins of basic food products: bread (white), sugar (white), edible sunflower oil (without cold-pressed oil), wheat flour (type 400 and type 500), macaroni and spaghetti from durum wheat, Macedonian white rice and long-term cow's milk with a fat content of 2.8 percent, 3.2 percent and 3.5 percent, with a trade margin valid until December 31, 2022," the government statement said.

At the same time, the Government lifted the ban on the export of some products, introduced this summer due to fears that there will be a shortage of basic food products.
