Siljanovska Davkova on the inclusion of Grubi and Bejeti on the US blacklist: I expect the court and the prosecution to act according to a sound voice
President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova expects the court and the public prosecutor's office to act according to a sound voice after the inclusion of ex-vice prime minister Artan Grubi and judge Enver Bejeti on the US blacklist.
"The United States sends a clear message that in politics and institutions, such as the court, one must take into account something that in the law we call the affected voice. Otherwise, we do not react when we must, and thus tolerate lawlessness. I expect the court and the public prosecutor to start acting. We must not remain calm as before, and so some who have been blacklisted continue with their regular activities. If the public prosecutors have to act on a voice, they have to act in this case as well. In international law and relations, there are ways to get that evidence and start proceedings here. Otherwise, we do not react when we must and thus tolerate lawlessness. I expect the court and the public prosecutor to start acting", says Siljanovska Davkova.
