President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova's visit continues today in Rome with a visit to the Basilica "Saint Clement", where the tomb of Saint Cyril is located, and to the Basilica "Santa Maria Margiore" on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of All-Slavic educators, the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius.

Siljanovska Davkova leads the state-church delegation within the "Macedonia in honor of St. Cyril" manifestation, and today in the "St. Kliment" basilica, traditionally as every year, a prayer service will be held at the tomb of St. Cyril. The prayer will be led by Metropolitan Timotej of Debar-Kicevo and Metropolitan Pimen of Europe.

A meeting of Siljanovska Davkova with her Italian colleague, Sergio Mattarella, is scheduled for this afternoon.

The president's visit to Rome and the Vatican, which is her first visit abroad after taking office, officially began yesterday with an audience with the head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis. She said after the meeting that she and the Pope discussed the Vatican's support for the European integration process of the country, but also of the entire Western Balkans, as well as the current events in the world, but also about the upcoming conference on Ukraine in Switzerland, where the Vatican will attend as an observer.
