On Friday, September 13, the National Opera and Ballet will be a guest on the stage of the Sofia Opera and Ballet with the grandiose opera "Nabucco" by Giuseppe Verdi. President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova will also attend the NOB's visit to Sofia, and on that occasion she will probably have a bilateral meeting with her host, the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev.

The two presidents are expected to sit together in the audience, but so far there is no confirmation from their offices.

On this occasion, the President will be accompanied by the Minister of Culture Zoran Ljutkov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Timcho Mutsunski.

The spectacular opera "Nabucco" will be performed in Sofia under the baton of Bisera Chadlovska, and the adaptation on the stage of the Sofia Opera House was made by Trajko Jordanovski.

The following will perform: Marjan Jovanoski, Zlata Toshevska Dimovska, Nikolina Janevska, Zoran Sotirov, Igor Durlovski, the choir, the orchestra, the ballet ensemble of the National Opera and Ballet and students from DMBUC "Ilia Nikolovski - Luj".

At the May Opera Evenings in Skopje, the Sofia Opera and Ballet performed as a guest with the opera "Valkyra" and caused delight in the Skopje audience.

On that occasion, President Siljanovska Davkova emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy.

- I don't think that our past is romantic, neither yours nor ours, but we have to live today and work for the future - said Siljanovska Davkova on May 17th of this year, right before the performance of the opera "Valkyra" at the National Opera and Ballet.

The two presidents were supposed to meet in Rome during their visit to mark the Day of Saints Cyril and Methodius, but the meeting never happened.
