CNN: Israelis claim 12 more hostages freed, 30 Palestinians released from prison

The fifth round of hostages has been handed over to the Red Cross, the Israeli Defense Forces announced today, reports CNN.

The handover involved 10 Israelis and two foreign nationals, the IDF said, adding that the freed hostages were on their way to Israeli territory.

At the same time, thirty Palestinian prisoners are expected to be released from Israeli jails as the truce between Israel and Hamas continues, according to information released by both the Palestinian Prisoners' Club and Israeli prison authorities.

Among those to be released are 15 women and 15 male children, who are under the age of 18 and are considered children under international law, it said. CNN.
