Xi Jinping before the visit to Russia: No country has a decisive voice on the global stage

No country in the global arena has a decisive voice to determine the entire existing world order, Chinese President Xi Jinping wrote in an article published in the Russian newspaper Rossiskaya Gazeta ahead of his visit to Russia, which begins today.

"The international community is clearly aware that no country in the world is superior to all others. There are no universal models of governance and there is no world order in which the decisive word belongs to one country. "Solidarity and peace on the planet without schism and upheavals fulfills the common interests of all humanity," emphasizes Xi.

"In the modern world, many profound changes are taking place. Peace, development, cooperation and mutual benefit – this is an unstoppable historical trend. "Multipolarity, economic globalization and democratization of international relations are an irreversible trend," says the Chinese leader.

"China and Russia firmly support the international system based on the UN and the world order based on international law, as well as the basic norms and principles of international relations based on the goals and principles of the UN Charter, and carry out close coordination in the UN, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization ( SCO), BRICS, G20 and other international platforms, which make joint efforts to promote multipolarity and democratization of international relations".

Regarding the war in Ukraine, the Chinese president stressed that countries can find a rational solution if they adhere to the concept of "common, comprehensive, joint and sustainable security". He emphasizes the need "to respect the objectives and principles of the UN Charter.
