What is this print after so much noise!

Apparently, instead of the noise, the self-confidence from the previous election successes prevailed. In such a situation of exaltation, you look only up and forward, and forget to turn back and more importantly down, in the ordinary everyday life of the citizens.

The first round of the local elections is not over, and the headquarters of the ruling SDSM have taken over. They probably could not believe their eyes when they saw the results coming from the party reports from the polling stations and from the application of the SEC. Well, then there is the press, when you have nothing to say. But the press also always rules after a lot of noise. And there were many of them during the election campaign.

The question is why there was so much noise, noise, during the campaign. Probably because there was no uproar much earlier, in the ranks of the ruling party, when maybe there should have been. Apparently, instead of the noise, the self-confidence from the previous election successes prevailed. In such a situation of exaltation, you look only up and forward, and forget to turn back and more importantly down, in the ordinary everyday life of the citizens.

Not only NATO, EU and Bulgaria are the goal of the existence of this nation and state, although they are very important. But life flows now and here, in the boring everyday life of going to work and coming home. In fact, it is not a discovery that the homeland is first loved on the doorstep. The most important role here is what we call in political terms "local government" and the municipal mayor. SDSM loses these local elections, not because it had wrong policies at the state level, as the opposition wants to show, but because the local government did not do its job. Neither on time nor properly. That burden was borne by the headquarters, which had to take chestnuts out of the fire with global themes and empty campaign slogans, which do not reach the citizens in the local elections. Either they do not reach at least those citizens who are undecided or who are even their supporters, but are dissatisfied with the performance of their mayors and their election.

SDSM must once understand that its "supporters" are not an obedient army that you will order to vote at any cost, even for a "donkey" if you nominate it as a candidate. And they will pay the price for it. The election of mayors, in general, was bad for them and it has nothing to do with some polls in which the elected "allegedly" won. Nobody has heard or seen such polls. After all, what are the polls worth when the citizens believe their eyes, who see damaged streets, daily broken water pipes, sewers from which the manholes turn into geysers after every rain and so on. And the opposition sees that too. In such a situation it is easy to appear before the citizens, not to offer anything concrete, not to understand where the city ends and where the municipality begins, not to know how to connect two sentences about how the city works, except what is written by the party, but only to promise , to promise…

But those are the rules of every election. Everyone does the same, just to convince the citizens of "their own" and to convince them of "someone else's" promise. In Macedonia, as a rule, the latter almost always wins and that is why in our country there are elections in which one does not vote "for", but "against". Probably happening now.
