Steinmeier today in the Skopje bazaar and at a meeting with the team of "Medena gešreća"
Walter Steinmeier, as part of his two-day official visit to the country, will walk through the Old Skopje bazaar today, and in Cifte Aman he will meet the crew of the Macedonian documentary "Land of Honey".
He will also have a meeting with young people visiting the Political School of the Presidential Center for Political Education.
In the afternoon, Steinmeier will visit the Wind Park in Bogdanci, the first of its kind in the Western Balkans, and then the Drexlmeier factory in Kavadarci.
Yesterday, the head of the German state had meetings with his host, President Stevo Pendarovski, with Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski, and he also addressed the deputies in the Parliament, where he said that North Macedonia is facing an important decision whether, through the upcoming change to the Constitution, it will pave the way for the opening of the chapters in individual areas.
For the road to Europe, the next difficult step is worth it, Steinmeier said, and expressed his belief that the country can continue to rely on Germany's support on the road to the EU, but that it must continue with the reform agenda.
This is Steinmeier's first official visit to North Macedonia. From Skopje, the German president leaves for a visit to Albania.
