Radomir Z. was arrested on April 5 after falling into the sea after attacking a crew member with a knife who tried to throw cocaine into the water when police surrounded their boat.

The Spanish police in action under the code name Grajuela (jaw) broke one of the biggest drug smuggling networks, when they stopped a boat loaded with 1.200 kilograms of drugs. Among its crew was the Serbian citizen Radomir Z., who was in charge of keeping supplies on behalf of the Eastern European organization to which this shipment worth 20 million euros was sent, writes Serbian Kurir.

Radomir Z. was arrested on April 5 after falling into the sea after attacking a crew member with a knife who tried to throw cocaine into the water when police surrounded their boat. According to media reports, the ship crossed the Atlantic to dock at its next destination, Egypt, after crossing the Strait of Gibraltar.

"As he approached the peninsula, somewhere between Huelva and Cadiz, the police intercepted them. On the "drug-ship" were two Galicians and a man from Cadiz, nicknamed El Rubio, and Santiago R., from Cambados. They were allegedly Galician actors", writes the "Lavozdegalicija" portal.

They, on the open sea, reached a ship from where they took out at least 627 kilograms of cocaine out of 1.200 loaded, before setting sail from the Colombian Caribbean. The Serbian Radomir Z. boarded the sailboat with two Galicians and a man from Cadiz to continue looking after the safety of the supplies. The ship with the drugs then headed for Spain. The road to the Peninsula was peaceful. However, on April 5 they were intercepted by police boats and helicopters.

One of the two Galicians thought that the solution to their problems was to throw the drugs into the sea.

"There were few bales, less than five, but that annoyed Radomir Z., who actually had to track the drugs and guard every gram with his life. According to the information from the investigation, Radomir then threw himself at the man who was throwing the drugs into the sea and attacked him with a knife. On that occasion, he inflicted several cuts and blows on him, while the driver of the boat tried to escape from the police. At one point, Radomir fell off the boat and ended up in the sea. The police immediately arrested him and continued the pursuit of the boat," the media reports.

There is also video footage of Civil Guard agents collecting the bales that have reached the shore. Not far away, two Galicians, one with cuts on his body after the fight with Radomir Z. and a citizen of Cadiz managed to reach land, unloaded the boat of almost all supplies, and continued to run. Ten days later, last Monday, they were arrested.
