German Chancellor Olaf Scholz declared for the inclusion of Russia in the peace process for Ukraine, DPA reported.

- It is true that peace in Ukraine cannot be achieved without the involvement of Russia - stressed Scholz at the peace conference in Switzerland that is being held today.

At the same time he called on Russia to fully withdraw from partially occupied Ukraine.

- Russia could end this war today or at any time, if it stops the attacks and withdraws its troops from Ukraine - added Scholz.

More than two years after the Russian attack on Ukraine, the summit on Burgenstock, a mountain ridge above Lake Lucerne, aims to explore ways to achieve peace in Ukraine.
