Evan Rachel Wood in the new documentary "Phoenix Rising" says that she was "essentially raped in front of the camera" by Marilyn Mansond while filming the music video for "Heart-Shaped Glasses" by Marilyn Manson from 2007.

The video shows Wood wearing Lolita-inspired heart-shaped glasses and having sex with Manson as it rains snowflakes. Wood was 19 when she made the music video and claims in the documentary that she was fed up with the absinthe of the recording to the point that she was barely aware of objecting when Manson had sex with her in front of the camera.

"It's nothing like I thought it would be. We did things that were not what I was told. We talked about a simulated sex scene, but after the cameras were turned on, it really started to penetrate me. I never agreed to that… It was a complete mess. I did not feel safe. "Nobody cared about me," Wood said in the documentary.

"Shooting the video was a really traumatic experience. I did not know how to stand up for myself or say no because I was conditioned and trained never to retaliate - I just fought to persevere. "I felt disgusted and did something embarrassing, and I could say that the crew was uncomfortable and nobody knew what to do."

"I was forced into a commercial sex act under false pretenses. That was when the first crime was committed against me. "I was essentially raped in front of the camera."

Wood has spoken several times in the past about how Manson "abused her" from 2006 to 2011. Regarding "Heart-Shaped Glasses," Wood said in the documentary that Manson was "really clear" with her about how she should promote the music video in interviews.

"I had to tell people that we had a great, romantic time and none of that was true. But I was afraid to do anything that would upset Manson in any way. "The video was just the beginning of the violence that will continue to escalate throughout the relationship."

"Phoenix Rising", directed by Amy Berg, had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
