Hilary Swank's shocking confession: I won an Oscar, but I had no money for health insurance
In a recent interview on "The Drew Barrymore Show," the actress Hillary Swank talked about the problems she faced at the beginning of her career.
After winning an Oscar for her role in the movie "Boys Don't Cry" in 2000, Hilary had to go to the doctor because of health problems. In the aforementioned interview, she explained that she didn't make enough money to get health insurance, so she paid $260 for simple antibiotics.
"I had a common cold and when I went to the doctor for regular antibiotics, they just said, 'Yeah, it's $260,'" the actress said.

"Then I answered them: Wait, I have insurance, you can check," explained the actress and added that she immediately had to call the insurance company. I remember the insurance company telling me I had to make a minimum of $5.000 a year to qualify for insurance. "Imagine, that year I won an Oscar, and I had no money for health insurance," said the actress.
The two-time Oscar winner recently revealed that she is expecting a new baby at the age of 48. The famous actress shared the happy news during a guest appearance on the "Good Morning America" show.

The actress revealed that she and her husband Philip Schneider will become parents of twins and that she is in the second trimester of pregnancy.
"This is something I wanted for a very long time and the next thing for me is to become a mother. Yes, I will become a mother - not only of one, but of two children. I cant believe. "It's nice to talk about this and have the opportunity to share," Swank shared.
