I had the opportunity today to see the information in the media and I was honestly very unpleasantly surprised, commented the current mayor of Skopje and candidate for a second term, Petre Shilegov after the announcement of SDSM that his opponent Danela Arsovska had Bulgarian citizenship.

- Not so much because of the fact that he has Bulgarian citizenship, for which if you want to get it you have to declare yourself as a Bulgarian. How she feels about her nationality and why and how she got citizenship is her business. But what worries me, and I believe all the people of Skopje, is firstly, why he does not tell the truth in public and secondly why he continues to lie to the public about this obvious fact. The question is why she has not yet told the truth and what else she said in the campaign is a lie? The citizens of Skopje certainly do not deserve such treatment from someone who aspires to be mayor, obviously Arsovska is inclined to hide facts from the public. Her integrity and honesty as a possible mayor of Skopje are seriously questioned. That is the key question that both the citizens and the media should ask themselves now, says Shilegov in a statement for "Free Press".
