We do not have a business relationship with the Skopje company through which the fire ladder "Armor Plus" was procured. The city money does not flow into the account of "Armor Plus", and therefore there is no conflict of interest, said today the mayor of the City of Skopje, Petre Shilegov. 

At the press briefing on the procurement of the fire ladder, he pointed out that the company "Armor Plus" has won only two contracts for firefighting equipment, out of a total of 20 procedures and public procurement for the needs of the Fire Brigade in the last three years. 

The Mayor clarified that the City as an institution does not have much choice for companies that work in the market with such special equipment. There are only four such companies in the country. 

He pointed out that the procedure for procurement of fire ladder was started in 2017, it was voted in the Council, none of the councilors voted against. 

-We paid 20% advance for the ladder when concluding the contract, the rest will be paid in four-five monthly installments after the ladder is delivered, said Shilegov. 

He added that delivery of the scale is expected to be sometime in late May or early June. Efforts are being made to reach May 20.

- We do not have a business relationship either with the Serbian company indicated as a maintainer and servicer, or with the Skopje company. City money does not flow into Armor Plus's account, hence there is no conflict of interest, said Shilegov, after the opposition today accused of illegal purchase of the vehicle.

Otherwise, as he said, this is the first type of such equipment in the history of the country. The fire ladder is intended for both technical interventions and serious traffic accidents. 

He added that it is not just a scale, it is a serious quality of all equipment that can be used in other interventions.  

- The bad news that is still current is that anyone who lives on the fifth floor can not be helped in case of fire, at least not in a way appropriate to the Fire Brigade. But this equipment of ours is equipment that will remain in the next 30 years. Efforts are being made to have this equipment by May 20, said Shilegov. 

Explain that This scale is not intended exclusively for the city of Skopje, it can be used for the needs of Veles, Kumanovo and other cities in the country. 

Regarding the comparison of the new fire ladder in Zagreb, Shilegov said that in Zagreb it is the fifth or sixth ladder in a row, we do not know what type of equipment the previous stairs have. 

Shilegov today regarding the accusations from the opposition VMRO-DPMNE that it is an illegal procurement, said that both Mickoski and VMRO-DPMNE are ordinary liars who knowingly manipulate the public
