The current candidate for mayor of SDSM and the Coalition Petre Shilegov, today called on young people to go to the second round of elections for Mayor of Skopje and to vote for the option that best represents their interests and needs. - High school and university students in my first term received completely free public transport and that proved to be the right policy. Now we go further and provide all postgraduate and doctoral students in Skopje with free transportation on city buses, as well as 100 scholarships in the amount of 12.000 denars per month for the best high school students from the City of Skopje who will enroll in one of the state universities, he said. .

Shilegov offered a social package that should reduce the costs of upbringing and education of children, but also to encourage couples to start families.

- We subsidize the care of children in state kindergartens by covering up to 50 percent of the monthly cost. For every high school student in public schools, we provide free fruit during the school stay. All students in the city will receive up to 50 percent cheaper meals during their stay at the school. To fulfill the desire for offspring, we help the process of Biomedical assisted fertilization through financial support of couples. We supplement the family budget for additional costs that are not recognized by the basic benefits of the Health Insurance Fund or in an additional attempt that is not covered by the Fund, states Shilegov.
