Six people died last night in a collision between two vehicles on a highway in the northern part of the state of New York, near the border with Canada, part of the American media reports.

It is a company minibus that was transporting 15 employees from a solar energy company and a rental truck from the "Penske" company. Two of the people traveling in the bus were seriously injured.

The collision took place in conditions of a slippery road – since last night in the nearby town of Lewisville, snowfall has reached a cover of 15 centimeters. The photos show that the vehicles collided head-on, on a highway with snow drifts on both sides. The highway was closed to traffic for 12 hours.

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, the identities of the victims have not been released, the New York State Police said that the case is being investigated.
