Six hit shows will participate in the "RUTA Group Triglav" festival

Drama Theater Skopje together with five leading theaters from the region, motivated by a strong desire to create new joint projects, co-productions and play shows in front of audiences from the entire region, formed the Regional Union of Theaters - "RUTA Group Triglav".

Together with Drama Theater Skopje, the signatories of the Union's cooperation protocol are Belgrade Drama Theatre, "Kamerni Teatar 55" from Sarajevo, "Ulysses" Theater from Zagreb, Municipal Theater Ljubljana and City Theater Podgorica.

Conceptually, the "RUTA Group Triglav" festival is held every two months in one of the six theater centers. Drama Theater hosts the tenth "RUTA Group Triglav" from October 14 to 19.

On the stage of the Drama Theater during the festival week, the Macedonian audience will have the opportunity to see six representative and most awarded performances of the theaters from the region.

The official opening of the festival will be on October 14 with Rade Šerbedžija and Milan Marić (the main character in the film about Toma Zdravkovic) in the play "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?", directed by Lenka Udovicki, based on the anthology text by Edward Albee. The play is a co-production of the Ulysses Theater and the Belgrade Drama Theatre. Katarina Bistrovic - Darvash and Vanja Nenadic also play in the play.

Belgrade Drama Theater performs on October 15 with the play "Wild Meat". The challenge of the ensemble and director Jagos Marković, to perform the play based on Goran Stefanovski's text in Skopje, is extraordinary.

The roles in "Wild Meat" are played by Jovo Maksic, Sandra Bugarski, Luka Grbic, Marko Todorovic, Aleksandar Vuckovic, Andriana Djordjevic, Ljubinka Klaric, Vanja Nenadic, Pavle Pekic, Stefan Radonjic, Milan Quqilovic, Jana Milosavljevic and Aleksandar Jovanovic.

On the third evening of the festival, the audience will have the opportunity to see the play by the Macedonian director Aleksandar Popovski. He captures his reading of the Roman poet Ovid for us in the play "Heroines" performed by the Ljubljana Municipal Theater.

The roles are entrusted to Viktorija Bencik Emeršić, Ida Smrekar, Judita Zidar, Tanja Ribić, Tina Potocnik Vrhovnik, Julita Kropec, Mirjam Korbar, Tjaša Železnik, Veronika Železnik and Jernej Gasperin.

On October 17, the ensemble of Podgorica City Theater comes from Montenegro with the play "Horses kill, don't they?". For this performance on the home stage and at all guest appearances, a "ticket plus" is required due to the unique concept of audience participation in the performance. A limited number of spectators watch the performance seated on the stage and have the opportunity to consume delicious food and drinks while listening to a professional band and acting show program.

The director of the play is Kokan Mladenovic. The roles are played by Dusan Kovacevic, Marija Djuric, Omar Bajramspahic, Vanja Jovicevic, Goran Slavic, Jelena Simic, Dejan Gjonovic, Branka Femic, Vukan Pejovic, Katarina Krek and Zeljko Radunovic.

The hit comedy "Mirna Bosnia" performed by "Chamber Theater 55" from Sarajevo is on the program on October 18. In the play, two families agree to start a new business. But as the author Boris Lalic says, it is not easy to run an honest business in Bosnia, and it is even more difficult to honestly create a criminal organization in which two families will become rich overnight. That's when real comedy ensues.

The director of the play is Sasha Peshevski. Fegja Stukan (the actor with notable roles in films with Hollywood star Angelina Jolie), Gordana Boban, Vanessa Glogjo and Davor Golubovic are performing.

The ceremonial closing of the "RUTA Group Triglav" festival is with the play "Strange incident with the dog in the night" at the Skopje Drama Theater on October 19. The direction is by Zoja Buzalkovska, and the roles are played by the actors Damjan Cvetanovski, Trajanka Ilieva-Veljic, Aleksandar Stepanuleski, Emilia Micevska Trajkovic, Sonja Stamboldzioska, Jasmina Vasileva, Filip Trajkovic, Stefan Vujisic, Zlatko Mitreski and Nela Pavlovska.

Until October 1, only block tickets can be purchased at the ticket office of Drama Theater Skopje. From October 1st, the individual sales per performance will start, reports from Drama Theater Skopje.
