Sharon Stone: Most of my colleagues hate women
The American actress Sharon Stone in an interview with "Variety" found that Robert DeNiro и Joe Pesci are among the few famous actors who did not treat women in a derogatory way and did not demonstrate misogyny on the set.
In 1992, Stone shot Martin Scorsese's Casino alongside De Niro and Pesci, and both, she says, were very comfortable on set.
"I've worked with a lot of big acting stars and almost all of them corrected me and told me how to act and what to do," Stone complained.
“Those people were so misogynistic. Almost everyone, only Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci weren't… I acted with big stars who needed to explain my whole text to me and told me what to do all the time. They didn't listen to what I was saying at all and didn't let me influence their performance at all with my performance. It's not good acting,” Stone said.
"I mean, I get that they're great and everyone thinks they're wonderful and beautiful. But if they tried to listen to me and be present, that would be humane. "I'm not the most popular actress in town and people might not want to hear my opinion, but I just wanted to be there," Stone said.
Recall that earlier this month, Stone complained about the very unpleasant shooting of "Basic Instinct" with Michael Douglas. She said she never felt comfortable around him.
"I really felt that there was a strange, dynamic energy between us. I was never comfortable around him and I don't think he was comfortable with me either. That was the most important thing. I watched his movements, provoked him and it worked," said the actress.
