The champion of Macedonia will play in the handball league next season
The European Handball Federation (EHF) announced the official ranking according to which the champion of Macedonia will play in the Champions League next season.
According to the EHF ranking, Macedonia is in eighth place, and the first nine are guaranteed a place in the elite club competition in the 2023/24 season.
Macedonia's high ranking in the ranking is due to Vardar, which has won the Champions League twice (2017 and 2019) and has been a regular participant in the elite competition for years.
This year, Macedonia does not have its own representative in the Champions League because EHF suspended Vardar from the competition due to unpaid debts to former handball players.
Spain is on the first place in the EHF ranking, followed by Germany, France, Hungary, Denmark, Poland and Portugal.
