Shaqiri and Baumgartner sign an annex to the Agreement on Secondary Schools with Francophone Bilingual Classes
The Minister of Education and Science Jeton Shaqiri and the French Ambassador Cyril Baumgartner, today signed an annex to the Agreement between the two governments, which refers to secondary schools with Francophone bilingual classes. The event was part of the celebration of the Month of Francophonie, in the presence of representatives of several secondary education institutions from several municipalities.
It was said at the meeting that this annex aims to specify the provisions mentioned in the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Government of the Republic of France, which refers to secondary schools with Francophone bilingual classes, and which are considered necessary for good functioning and sustainability. of these classes.
There are a total of six Francophone bilingual classes in the country, and the first one was opened in the Negotin high school in the academic year 1997/1998.
