Sela will vote differently from his partner Ahmeti for the second time, there is no blank support from the European Front for the Local Law

Alliance for Albanians led by Ziyadin Sela will not vote for the changes and the scenario will be repeated when, before the formation of the Government, DUI supported the Law on Reorganization of the Government, while the deputies of the Alliance did not vote. Then, in return, DUI received an ad-hoc parliamentary commission to monitor fair representation in the institutions

There is no blank support from The European front for changes to Law on Local Self-Government with which the government demands that there be no early elections in the municipalities whose mayors have become ministers and MPs, that is, if there is less than a year until the regular elections, they say for "Sloboden Pechat" from the European Front.

The Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski will have to make a concession in favor of the leader of the front, the leader of the DUI Ali Ahmeti, if he wants to secure a two-thirds and Badenter's majority in order to adopt the amendments in the Parliament, because it is a systemic law. VMRO-DPMNE say that there will be no concession, except that they will allow DUI to manage the Municipality of Saraj until October 2025, instead of "losing the municipality in November of this year".

If the government gets two-thirds and double support for the law, it will mean that in Gostivar, in Airport and in Saraj there will be no early elections for mayors, though Arben Taravari и Timcho Mucunski became ministers, and Blerim Bexheti from DUI he became an MP.

The parties of the Turks are also against blank support

The proposal of the government, which should be submitted to the plenary session of the parliament tomorrow, also divided the coalition partners from The European front, who will try to build a common position at the coordination meeting tomorrow. DUI does not reveal what they will demand in return for the support for the Law, although they say that the amendments to the Law suit them too, because they will keep Saraj until the regular local elections in 2018. At a meeting in Mala Recica this afternoon, DUI will make a final decision on how it will position itself on the draft law.

Alliance for Albanians led by Zijadin Sela will not vote on the changes and the scenario will be repeated when, before the formation of the Government, DUI supported the Law on Reorganization of the Government, while the deputies of the Alliance did not vote. Then, in return, DUI received an ad-hoc parliamentary commission to monitor fair representation in institutions, which it will manage Talat Xhaferi.

- What sense do the elections have if the politicians decide who will manage the citizens through changes to the laws according to current interests. We are against and do not support any proposal that is contrary to the concept of legitimacy - they say Alliance for Albanians for "Free Press".

The Democratic Party of the Turks, led by Bejjan Ilyaz and the Movement of the Turks, led by Sally Murat, with the difference that Ilyaz, as he told "Sloboden Pechat", will submit an amendment, which will depend on whether he will support the changes.

- The amendment will be that there will be no census during the re-election of the mayor so that we do not repeat the situation when on two occasions the mayors of the municipalities of Centar Župa and Mavrovo-Rostushe could not be elected, because the residents of those municipalities live abroad - says Ilyaz.

Murat, on the other hand, is determined that he will vote against the amendments to the Law because they are unconstitutional.

- I will not support the changes because they are unconstitutional and limit pluralism in a parliamentary democracy. The amendments suspend the citizens' right to elect mayors. The Constitution guarantees the right of citizens to vote. When the mayors went to the polls, they promised a four-year mandate program. Citizens trust and have given their trust to the mayor they elected. Who believes and who trusted the acting mayor? Murat asks.

With the votes of DUI, the government will have a two-thirds majority and Badenter's majority

The proposed amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government provide that those municipalities will be managed by acting mayors until the end of the mandate, who are, in turn, elected by the municipal councils, instead of, as the Law provides, municipalities that will be left without mayors within six months to they go to early local elections to elect a mayor.

However, the different positions in The European front they do not question the legal amendments if DUI gives support, because the ruling majority composed of MPs of VMRO-DPMNE, the Vredi coalition and the ZNAM Movement counts 78 and only with the 10 MPs from DUI there will be a two-thirds majority and Badenter's majority.

Although we asked, we did not manage to get an opinion on whether the leaders and MPs of the DPA and the People's Movement will also vote for the changes. Menduh Thaci и Skender Rexhepi.

Proponents of the legal amendments are the coordinators of the parliamentary groups of VMRO-DPMNE, Vredi and ZNAM, Nikola Micevski, Khalil Snopche и Boban Karapejovski. The proposed amendments were submitted after a shortened procedure. According to the proponents, it is a transitional solution that will only be valid until the upcoming local elections in October 2025. The opposition SDSM has so far not commented on the amendments to the Law, while the opposition Left will vote against, as they say, these scandalous and anti-democratic changes.

-Despotically, after a shortened procedure and with a broad consensus between the parties of the oligarchy, a fatal blow is given to democracy and the constitutional right of the citizens to directly elect their local authorities. It is unjustified that citizens in certain municipalities are deprived of free and democratic elections and that they are led by unelected people who will manage public money. In addition, in just three months DUI will enable a two-thirds majority of the government for the second time. This circus makes sense of the legitimacy of the ruling majority, whose alleged goal is to empower the DUI, while they act together in the Parliament - the Left says to "Sloboden Pechat".
