Coordination Council session: Current global challenges require a response from all NATO members
The members of the council also exchanged opinions on the current situation, including the implementation of the decisions made at the NATO Summit in Washington and on the situation in Ukraine, the commitments to provide long-term support to Ukraine, as well as on the fulfillment of our obligations to promote security at regional and globally together with other NATO allies
As a credible ally, our country remains committed to its commitment to contribute to the preservation of collective security and regional peace, stability and prosperity. At the same time, according to our possibilities and capacities, we remain committed to providing sustainable support to Ukraine and its aspirations to achieve peace. The implications of the current global security challenges require a united and strong response from all members of the Alliance, the Prime Minister said. Hristijan Mickoski at today's session of the Council for coordination of activities related to Macedonia's membership in NATO.
Mickoski, as the chairman of the Council, emphasized the importance of our membership in NATO, as well as the close inter-institutional coordination within the Government, on important issues from the NATO agenda and the realization of our obligations arising from membership in the Alliance.
-On this occasion, we express our gratitude to the allies with whom we jointly share Euro-Atlantic values and responsibilities for our common security and stability, as well as for the support they provide to strengthen national capacities and maintain the level of readiness as a NATO member country - he ordered.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade also addressed the session. Timcho Mucunski, in the capacity of co-chairman of the Council.
- Today's meeting of the Council, which is a platform for a comprehensive exchange of information and discussion on all important topics and building national positions, as well as proposing decisions for their implementation, is a practical proof of our commitment to a quality contribution to the advancement of regional peace and stability, but also the overall transatlantic security. Our goal is to focus on establishing a fully functional, effective and sustainable structure, such as the Council, in the direction of further strengthening our institutional capacities, creating policies and defining attitudes, which are equally important for the country and for the Alliance - said Mutsunski.
The Minister of Defence, Vlado Misajlovski briefed them on the activities in the field of defense, related to the Declaration adopted by the heads of governments and states that participated in the NATO Summit in Washington.

The Government informs that the Council will have regular meetings to maintain an appropriate dynamic of active monitoring of the situation and needs of the Alliance, in accordance with the obligations arising from our membership in NATO.
