Before marrying Philip VI in 2004, Letizia was a journalist. She often appeared on television, and today she looks almost the same as she did then. Although she was often criticized for her weight, she revealed that she eats a lot.

"I have no problem. I eat a lot, this is how I am, I have this type of body," said the mother of two children on one occasion.

However, Queen Letizia is careful to eat healthy food, so she usually eats fish, eggs, kale and spinach. She tries to follow the Mediterranean style of eating, which includes lots of fruits and vegetables, as well as protein and healthy fats. Many consider this type of diet to be the healthiest in the world.

But Queen Letizia combines the Mediterranean diet with the Perricone diet, named after Dr. Perricone, which consists of protein-rich foods, non-starchy vegetables, fruit, nuts, yogurt, olive oil and grains. Many celebrities, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Moss, reportedly practice this diet.

In addition, Letizia avoids sugar and never eats ready meals, frozen food or pizza. As for drinks, she does not consume coffee, carbonated drinks and alcohol. And this is exactly the recipe for success because avoiding alcohol can be an effective way to lose weight considering that alcoholic beverages are usually high in calories. Queen Letizia exercises every other day and has a great knowledge of yoga.
