The municipality says that the director later, when asked by the mayor of Bitola Toni Konjanovski to confirm, she said that a student was slightly injured when the ceiling fell.

A municipal commission was formed to inspect the school in order to ascertain the situation. During the inspection, director Ilieva informed that the toilets were reconstructed a few years ago with a donation, and in recent days problems were noticed on the upper floor, followed by some leaking.

"Mayor Konjanovski contacted the family of the injured student, and was informed that the student is scared and is with her parents at the Clinical Hospital, where tests are being done due to arm pain. Konjanovski, remains in contact with the family, and demanded responsibility from the director Natasa Ilieva, due to the measures not taken in time and the unreported problem", says the announcement from the Municipality of Bitola.

"At the end of last year, the mayor of the municipality of Bitola called the directors of the schools, in order to point out the needs for reconstruction and interventions, which the facilities have. "Director Ilieva did not request intervention from the municipality for the secondary medical school building," reads the announcement from the municipality of Bitola.
