A small plane crashed in the French Alps, killing one child

Five people, including a child, were killed when a small plane crashed in the southeastern French region of Auvergne-Rhонаne-Alpes.

French television station BFMTV broadcast a report from local police stating that the accident happened on a clearing near the town of Adrets, in the department of Isère.

The small Jodel D140 belonged to an aeroclub and was on its first flight. He took off from Versailles Airport near Grenoble.

According to France 3 television, four adults and one child were killed in the accident.
