A famous actor drowned: Just before the tragedy, he published a photo of him enjoying himself on the beach
The famous Australian actor Peter Hardy (66) has been identified as the man who drowned on a beach in Western Australia. Hardy was best known for his roles in the films Chooper and Neighbours.
His body was pulled from the water at South Beach in Fremantle around 10am on Thursday, local media reported. Passers-by tried to resuscitate him until the ambulance arrived, but without success, he reports ""Daily Mail".
Hardy lived in London, but at the time was in Perth, where he was visiting his mother. Just before the tragedy, the actor posted a selfie from the beach and a video with a description:
"More reasons to be cheerful" - the actor wrote shortly before his death.
Recall that Peter appeared as Jimmy Drain in three episodes of the Australian soap opera Neighbors in 1997. He also appeared in the musical Mamma Mia! and The King's Man in 2021, playing a Russian general in the third part of the trilogy The Kingsmen directed by Michael Vaughan.
Peter was best known in Australia for his roles in McLeod's Daughters and Chooper.
