The City of Skopje is reconstructing the overpass on Aleksandar Makedonski Boulevard for the first time since it was built. With this, as they say from the City, the request of the citizens who use this pedestrian bridge every day, near which there is a primary school and other facilities, has been realized, for providing conditions for safer movement.

Since the beginning of the year, the city, in cooperation with PE "Streets and Roads", has started a project for the rehabilitation of 36 bridges, overpasses and pedestrian overpasses under its jurisdiction.

Part of the bridges and overpasses, as a multi-decade challenge, have not been repaired despite the need, and the reconstruction of roadways, sidewalks and fences is necessary, which will significantly contribute to increasing safety. Positive results will be achieved with systematic monitoring of the authorities, because continuous monitoring is necessary for these infrastructural facilities with the aim of timely remediation and regular maintenance, say the City of Skopje.
