"There is no end to the hypocrisy of Hristijan Mickoski and VMRO-DPMNE," SDSM said in a press release.

Here is the full statement from the ruling party:

"Exactly the MPs of VMRO-DPMNE, on the order of Mickoski, blocked a loan from the World Bank for a year and a half to provide funds for the municipalities.

By not scheduling a session, the then chairman of the Committee on Finance and Budget Timcho Mucunski, and the current mayor of VMRO-DPMNE, harmed the municipalities predominantly led by mayors from SDSM.

Today, Mickoski, who constantly speaks against borrowing, demands that the loan from the World Bank for financing projects in the municipalities, which are now predominantly led by VMRO-DPMNE mayors, be submitted and voted in the Parliament.

It is a severe hypocrisy with which Mickoski wants to cover up the non-operation and partisanship of the municipalities.

For the citizens to be calm, the MPs from the ruling majority will adopt the law on borrowing from the World Bank, because it is important to invest in capital projects, especially in times of the world's greatest economic crisis.

So far in the first six months of the mandate, the mayors of VMRO-DPMNE have done nothing but boast of projects started by former mayors of SDSM. They are now looking to take pictures with money provided by the government from the local road connection project.

"At the end of the day, the destructiveness and hypocrisy of VMRO-DPMNE and Mickoski remain, who shamelessly block the work of the Assembly, criticize the work of the Government, and then demand money from it," the statement said.
