The football federations of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Greece will submit a joint offer for the organization of 2030 World Cup, reports the British "Times".

The World Cup would be played in three countries on three continents at the end of 2030 and not in the summer, but in the winter period, as this year in November and December it will be played in Qatar.

According to the English newspaper, the main initiator of the joint offer is Saudi Arabia, which will be the main sponsor of the World Cup in 2030.

"The Times" writes that the chances of the World Cup being held on three continents for the first time are not small because the president of the World Football Federation (FIFA), Gianni Infantino is on good terms with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The candidacy of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Greece would be a blow to Spain and Portugal, as they would have the support of the Asian Football Confederation and the African Football Confederation. The newspaper speculates that this candidacy would also receive some support from European federations because of Greece. Infantino recently met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and with the president of the Greek Football Federation Panayiotis Baltakos.

In addition to the joint bid of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Greece, bids for organization of the WC 2030 were submitted by Portugal and Spain, as well as four South American countries, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile.

The decision who will be the organizer of the World Cup in 2030 will be made by FIFA in 2024. WC 2022 will be held in Qatar, and WC 2026 will be hosted by Canada, USA and Mexico.
