Only vaccinated tennis players will be able to play at Roland Garros
What was announced a few days ago is now official, the ATP has told tennis players that only vaccinated tennis players will be able to play in tournaments in France, including Roland Garros.
The French Tennis Federation has informed the ATP that a law banning the participation of unvaccinated athletes in France will be adopted soon.
Tennis players who have had Covid-19 in the last six months but have not been vaccinated with at least one vaccine are also likely to be barred from participating in tournaments in France.
"It is unclear at this time whether the tennis players who suffered from covid-19 but did not receive at least one dose of vaccine will be allowed to play," reads the letter sent by ATP to all tennis players.
The only way for unvaccinated tennis players to compete in tournaments in France is to have a certificate confirming that they must not be vaccinated for medical reasons.
