There is no need for additional restrictive measures until the next meeting of Commission for Infectious Diseases because in the last two days there is a decrease in the number of newly infected, he believes Minister of Health Bekim Sali.

In a statement to the media, Sally said that according to the data of the Institute of Public Health that they receive on a daily basis, the pandemic in the country shows signs of subsiding and every day there is a decrease in the number of newly infected and hospitalized.

- Everything is under control. There is no need for additional measures. More restrictive measures have been taken in Kosovo as the epidemiological situation has begun to deteriorate and this is a local policy. We do not have such restrictive measures and for now there is no need, but every decision is weekly. Until the next meeting of the Commission for Infectious Diseases, there will be no need for a new measure, but I hope that the citizens will be cautious and the vaccination will increase, Sally said today, answering journalists' questions.

At the moment, as he pointed out, there is no need to open modular hospitals. The coyote center of the Neurology Clinic is open today, and the covidium center of the Skin Diseases Clinic has been functioning since yesterday.

- At the state level, we try to take care of patients at the hospital level. Since last week, measures have been taken to increase the number of beds, which means opening the facilities that were previously covid centers. There is no need for modular hospitals for now, Sally said.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health, at the moment in the country in 90 percent is present the omicron strain, and in 10 percent the delta strain.

The sick leave of those patients who will have symptoms after the seventh day will be regulated by the family doctors, ie if they have symptomatology of the virus, their sick leave will be automatically extended for another three days.

- Our service "My appointment" informed all family doctors how to record these cases. Epidemiologically, they are guided by family doctors and on the seventh day, if they have a fever or some other symptomatology, their period of self-isolation is automatically extended to three days. The family doctor regulates the sick leave, says Sally.

Regarding whether it is considering reducing the cost of testing, the Minister said that he has talked with all stakeholders that affect the price and expects a positive response from them.

Asked about the transparency of the Infectious Diseases Commission, which has not held a press conference for several months, Sally said that the Commission has always been transparent and its decisions are known to the public.
