The United States believes that Ukraine is responsible for the murder of Darya Dugina
US intelligence agencies believe that part of the Ukrainian government approved the killing of Darya Dugina, the daughter of a prominent Russian nationalist, by detonating explosives in her car near Moscow, reported "New York Timess", referring to unnamed officials.
The US did not participate in the assassination of Dugina and was not familiar with the plan, the "New York Times" reported. US officials have criticized Ukrainian authorities for the assassination, the paper claims.
Ukraine denied involvement in the murder, while Russia's FSB blamed Ukrainian services for the assassination.
The adviser to the Ukrainian president Mykhailo Podolyak repeated for the "New York Times" that Kyiv is not responsible for the assassination.
Darya Dugina was the daughter of the Kremlin ideologue Alexander Dugin. Russian media reported that she supported her father's ideas and appeared in the media where she spoke positively about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Dugina was killed in August in a car bomb attack near Moscow.
