US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken claims that Russia has received shipments of ballistic missiles from Iran and is likely to use them within weeks in Ukraine against Ukrainians, which Washington says will "represent a dramatic escalation."
"This development and growing cooperation between Russia and Iran threatens European security and shows how Iran's destabilizing influence reaches far beyond the Middle East," he said.
Blinken also said the US would announce new sanctions on Iran.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy called Iran's supply of ballistic missiles to Russia a "significant escalation".
