The US announces 2,2 billion dollars for new weapons and ammunition for Ukraine
The United States announced today a new package of weapons and ammunition for Ukraine worth 2,2 billion dollars.
The list includes ammunition for the HIMARS missile systems that have allowed Ukrainian forces to target behind Russian lines, air defense systems and armored vehicles, the Pentagon said.
The German Government has issued a permit for the export of "Leopard 1" battle tanks to Ukraine, the spokesman said today. Stephen Hebstraight in Berlin, without giving further details.
Until now, the government had only approved the delivery of modern Leopard 2 main battle tanks from the Bundeswehr's stockpile.
