In the past period, after the company promoted the new payment method, and some citizens installed this service on their mobile phones and topped up their driving cards according to the specified instructions, they very often faced the inability to pay in the field.

The popularity of the virtual payment card in the buses of JSP "Skopje" is growing, according to the public company. According to the data obtained from there, 12.000 new active users of the application were registered in the last quarter, and this number shows a continuous increase on a daily basis.
As one of the benefits that more and more citizens decide to use the "Skopska" mobile application as one of the ways to pay for bus transportation is the fact that in order to top up the card, it is not necessary to visit a ticket office, and the price for the charged service is the same as when using the "ordinary" card.
- The number of users of the mobile application "Skopska" is growing daily, that is, in the last quarter, 12.000 new active users of the application were registered. Currently, the number is much higher, because the indicated number refers only to new users in the last quarter - informs from JSP "Skopje".
From there, they also inform that the number of citizens who face problems in the field when paying for the service they use, even though they have already topped up rides on the mobile application, is decreasing.
- The number of problems when using the application, which are mainly of a technical nature, are decreasing, which are solved after registering at the dedicated address [email protected] which is available for all problems and questions regarding the use of the application – the authorities from the public transport company explain the procedure.
As a reminder, in the past period after the company promoted the new method of payment, and some citizens hurriedly installed this service on their mobile phones and topped up their driving cards according to the instructions, they very often faced the inability to pay in the field . So, they were forced to use the "Skopska" card as before the introduction of the application to avoid the possibility of being "detected" by JSP controllers in some of the vehicles. The reactions were violent. Citizens complained to the company, asked for advice at ticket offices, from bus drivers, and even consulted on social networks about the payment method with the new application.
In an attempt to explain to them the procedure for replenishment and the method of payment, JSP "Skopje" several times after the application was put into use came out with announcements and explanations about the method of use and payment with the so-called. "Skopska" virtual card.
- First of all, in order to use the application, the mobile device should have a built-in NFC (Near field communication) interface, through which the wireless transaction (validation) of a ticket is carried out. It is necessary for the application user to check where the NFC is located on the mobile device he is using (the setting is different for different types of devices). To pay/validate a ticket through the application, the user needs to select the ticket menu and the phone (the NFC in the foreground) to bring it closer to the validator (as when paying with an electronic card "Skopska") - it is stated in the explanation of JSP.
The traffic company then explained that in the event that the user of the application has topped up more than one type of ticket, during validation a ticket is taken according to "priority" as during validation with an electronic card "Skopje".
– For example, if the user has a monthly ticket and a 10-ride ticket, a ticket from the monthly ticket is validated. If the user has a ticket for 10 rides and funds in the electronic wallet, a ticket from that one with 10 rides is validated. Just like with the "Skopska" electronic card, practically the application replaces the "Skopska" card - it is stated in the explanation from the company.
When it comes to users who use a foreign number, when installing the application, it is necessary to select the appropriate calling number for the country in which the SIM card was issued.
