The new Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, said today in London that he is not worried about the possibility that the Republican candidate for President of the United States, Donald Trump, will win the elections that will be held there in less than a month.

“Stop worrying about a Trump presidency. "I know he fully understands and agrees with me that this war in Ukraine is not just about Ukraine, but about the current and future security of the United States," he said.

After meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Rutte said he was "absolutely convinced" that the United States would remain committed to the security of the European continent.

If Trump wins the November 5 presidential election, some of Europe's NATO allies fear that the United States will be less committed to Europe's security and stop supporting Ukraine militarily.
