Four days after the death of 47-year-old Alexei Navalny, the fiercest critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a warrant and opened a new criminal case against his brother Oleg. Russian law enforcement agencies do not specify under which article of the Criminal Code the case was brought, reports Forbes.

This is not the first case of the Russian authorities against Oleg Navalny. In 2014, he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison on fraud charges, and in 2021 he was given a suspended sentence of one year behind bars for violating sanitary and epidemiological measures for covid-19.
