The military garrison of the Russian city of Ufa in the Republic of Bashkortostan condemned him Marcel Kandarov, a 24-year-old military man to five years in prison for evading military service during mobilization, Russian media reported.

The court determined that in May 2022, Kandarov "did not want to participate in a special military operation" and refused to register for military service.

In September 2022, he was discovered by members of the anti-crime services, which "ended his escape", according to the statement.

Pavel Chikov, head of the human rights group Agora, informed at the end of October about the first criminal procedure for military leave in Russia against Roman Kashtakov, resident of Yakutia.

At the end of December, the news appeared that the military garrison court in Ufa sentenced Salavat Mirasov (27) to three years in prison for unauthorized desertion during mobilization
