Russian MMA fighter Marif Piraev was drafted into the army, but he decided to flee the country.

Russia launched a military invasion of Ukraine on February 24, but President Vladimir Putin last week announced a general war mobilization and announced that 300.000 Russians would be mobilized to go to the front.

The call to call a military mobilizer did not pass the athletes, and among them was Piraev, who a few days ago was supposed to report to the commission for the recruitment of new soldiers. But the MMA fighter escaped from Russia, reveals his friend Shamil Gamilov.

- He received a call for mobilization, it shocked him and he decided to leave Russia - revealed Gamilov.

According to the media, Piraev escaped across the Russian-Georgian border.

– An MMA fighter fled Russia after receiving a draft call. He did not want to die for Putin's regime - the world media write.

Piraev has 31 MMA fights in his career and has only four losses.
