The Russian army destroyed 54 Ukrainian drones, four people were injured
The Russian military destroyed 54 Ukrainian drones overnight, with local authorities saying at least four people were injured in the attacks.
Half of the destroyed drones were over the territory of Kursk, where a major Ukrainian offensive has been conducted since the beginning of August. "Air defense systems destroyed 54 Ukrainian drones tonight," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
According to the data of the Russian military, 27 drones were destroyed over the Kursk region, on the border with Ukraine, while the rest were shot down in the Russian regions of Bryansk (16), Smolensk (7), Belgorod (3) and Oryol (1). In the Belgorod district, four people were injured and hospitalized after a drone attack, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced on Telegram.
