The Russian army captured the village of Bogdanovka in eastern Ukraine

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that the Russian army captured the village of Bogdanovka, between Bakhmut and Chasov Yar in eastern Ukraine.

"Units of the 'Southern' forces have completely captured the village of Bogdanovka, in the Donetsk People's Republic," the Russian Ministry of Defense said.

Bogdanovka had fewer than 100 inhabitants before the war, is less than 10 kilometers from Chasov Yar, the town the Russian army headed for after taking over Bakhmut in the spring of 2023
