Russia shot down 18 Ukrainian drones over three areas overnight
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that during the night, Russian air defense destroyed 18 Ukrainian drones over three regions – Kursk, Belgorod and Voronezh, British media reported.
Eleven of the drones were shot down in the Kursk border region, the department said.
Russian air defense units intercepted five drones over the Belgorod region, another region bordering Ukraine, and two over the Voronezh region, located several hundred kilometers south of the capital Moscow. There were no casualties in the Voronezh region, said local governor Alexander Gusev, quoted by Russian media.
The Russian Defense Ministry's Telegram summary did not mention how many Ukrainian drones were sent into Russian territory overnight.
