The Russian army is preparing to defend the nuclear power plant in Kurchatov from attacks by members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!

Rosatom announced a temporary reduction in the number of construction workers. The state corporation justified the decision by imposing a federal state of emergency in the area.

– The other experts at the construction site are working according to the plan. All systems that ensure the construction of blocks are functioning normally - adds Rosatom.

The Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, one of the three largest nuclear power plants in Russia, supplies energy to 19 regions of the Central Federal District.

It is located about 85 kilometers from the city of Suja, in whose area the Russian army is currently fighting with units of the armed forces of Ukraine.

Mayor Igor Korpunkov said on Friday that the fighting is already taking place several dozen kilometers from Kurchatov.

The Army has moved the Armor mobile air defense systems closer to the nuclear plant.

Meanwhile, the Russian army claims that in a missile attack it destroyed the command post of the brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region.

This information was announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The strike was carried out by the crew of the operational-tactical missile system Iskander-M.

"The rockets hit the reconnaissance post where the command post of the unit of the 22nd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kursk Oblast region was located on the border," the report states.

The 15-member command team of the brigade was destroyed, reports RIA Novosti.

A Russian Iskander missile strike in the border areas of the Kursk region killed 15 commanders of the 22nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces, the Russian Defense Ministry stated.
