Russia has opened a mobilization point on the border with Georgia
A mobilization point will be opened on the border between Russia and Georgia at the Goren Lars checkpoint, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Republic of North Ossetia announced.
The announcement published on Telegram does not specify the reasons for such a decision.
"The flow of passenger vehicles moving towards Georgia is seriously increasing. In order to reduce the risks of illegal behavior and the creation of conflict situations, a decision was made to allow citizens to cross the border on foot, the announcement states.
Previously, at the indicated place, the border could only be crossed by means of transport.
Since the beginning of the partial mobilization in Russia, on September 21, at the border crossings with neighboring countries, where Russians do not need a visa, the queues to exit the country are huge.
